Join us for a discussion on wild animal welfare methods at the The International Society for Applied Ethology (ISAE). This emerging field aims to understand and improve the welfare of free-ranging wild animals through accurate assessment methods and interventions.

In this discussion led by Janire Castellano Bueno, Researcher - Academic Engagement at Wild Animal Initiative, we will introduce the significance of wild animal welfare science (WAWS) and its intersections with animal behavior. Participants will engage in discussing challenges and possibilities of transferring behavioral indicators used in captivity into a wild setting. We will finalize with sharing how WAWS could be integrated into your work.
